Mexico 2007 World Chess Championship - Live chess games will be announced soon

The Mexico 2007 World Chess Championship tournament will take place in Mexico City (Mexico), September 12 - October 1, 2007. The games will be played in the 5-star Sheraton Centro Histуrico Hotel.
The participants in Mexico WCC 2007 are: Viswanathan Anand (2792), Vladimir Kramnik (2769), Alexander Morozevich (2758), Peter Leko (2751), Levon Aronian (2750), Peter Svidler (2735), Boris Gelfand (2733), Alexander Grischuk (2726).

The opening ceremony of the championship is scheduled 19.00 local time (02.00 CEST - Central European Summer Time, 03.00 - EEST, 04.00 in Moscow).
1st round is scheduled for the 13th of September - 14.00 local time. Everyone should expect some delay of the 1st round.
We will broadcast the chess games LIVE (if it is possible), and we will post links to all sites with live transmission and live commentary of the games.

In 2002 Levon Aronian became World Junior Champion. In 2004 he progressed to the 3rd round of the FIDE World Championship but was knocked out by Pavel Smirnov.

The WCC Mexico 2007 will take place in Mexico City (Mexico), beginning 12th September.

Peter Svidler learned to play chess when he was six years old. He is four-time Russian champion (last in 2003). In 2001, he reached the semi-finals of the FIDE World Championship.
He is Chess960 World Champion for 3 years in a row (2003-2005).
He became shared second (together with Anand) in the FIDE World Chess Championship 2005 with 8.5 points out of 14 games. Currently his FIDE rating is 2735 (No. 12 on the July 2007). His best rating was 2765 in January 2006.
